The government of St Kitts and Nevis is highly committed to uplifting the healthcare capacity of the country. Accordingly, the Ministry of Health took to its official social media account to share its excitement about receiving a new vehicle for its rooster. The Pan American Health Organization has handed over the vehicle to the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry of Health is currently functioning under the leadership of Dr Terrance Drew. He was one of the practising doctors active in the country before transitioning to politics. Accordingly, the team understands the significance of healthcare for the people of the country.
The glimpses from the handover ceremony, which took place on Friday, August 4 were shared by the ministry of health on their social media account. According to the update shared by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) has generously handed over a vehicle to the Ministry of Health of St. Kitts and Nevis. The official handover took place on Friday. The Newtown Health Center served as the venue for the significant ceremony.
The donation of the ambulance vehicle from the PAHO to the Ministry of healh in St Kitts and Nevis marks a collaborative effort to improve healthcare accessibility and delivery across the island. The ministery have shared their excitement on recieving the vehicle.
The generously donated vehicle, a bus, is earmarked to play an instrumental role in advancing the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), a pivotal initiative aimed at enhancing vaccine outreach activities.
This programme will allow for the more efficient transportation of vaccines to persons in need of vaccine coverage and at-risk groups, including farmers and individuals in various business sectors. Furthermore, the vehicle will be a key resource in facilitating the transportation of nursing staff to conduct education sessions for parents and caregivers, ensuring that vital health information is accessible acros.s the community
