St Kitts and Nevis Minister of Public Infrastructure, et al., Konris G M Maynard shared about the updates by Public Works Department on the progress of the St Peters Main Road and Williams Highway East.
Minister Maynard shared a video of the progressive work under construction through his official Facebook account on September 9, 2024.
While sharing the video, he expressed delight that he had the opportunity to spend time with the dedicated team of Rock and Dirt Ltd. and employees of Public Works Department St Kitts as they had begun the paving for the F.T. Williams Highway East and St. Peters Main Road.
He expressed his delight with the updates and noted that he is highly pleased with the progress made so far on this massive capital initiative.
The Public Works Department St Kitts also shared the glimpses from the work on the Rehabilitation of the F.T. Williams Highway East and St peters Main Road, executed by Rock and Dirt Ltd.
The PWD noted that several members of the road crew were also on the site to acquire valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in road paving.
Significantly, they shared that the paving has commenced from the Airport Guard Hut and extends to the TDC Roundabout leading to Greenlands. It is also to be noted that if all continues as per the schedule, the work in this area is expected to complete by today.
The Minister of Public Infrastructure also emphasised that the departments are currently focused on a critical section that connects several key points, stretching from the Airport Guard Hut down to the TDC Roundabout leading to the Greenlands.
He also urged every one to be patient and said, “I kindly ask for your continued patience as we work diligently to enhance the road infrastructure in the St Peters area.”
Minister Konris Maynard also thanked the public for being understanding as the administration strives to improve the transportation network.
