The Ministry of Social Development and Gender Affairs plans to enhance its online application and payment processes in 2024 to enhance public service efficiency.

Minister of State with responsibility for Youth Empowerment, Ageing and Disabilities, Isalean Phillip, announced the rollout of new digital processes in the 2024 Budget Debate, citing the success of online re-registration for Poverty Alleviation and Back-to-School Voucher Programmes.

The Ministry of Social Development and Gender Affairs plans to digitize all application forms for services offered across various departments into 2024 to improve system efficiencies.

The ministry’s website, www.socialdevelopment.gov.kn, has been upgraded to include simplified application forms for community centre reservation, group/organization registration, volunteer applications, and benefit registration.

The minister, Isalean Phillip, expressed interest in expanding benefit payments, citing the success of digital cash transfers of Back-to-School vouchers.

The ministry plans to expand its food voucher program through digital payment, aiming to improve system efficiency and restore client dignity, according to Senator Phillip in a National Assembly statement.

The government is expanding Government solutions to support individuals with technology challenges, aiming to transform St. Kitts and Nevis into a sustainable island state.

The residents of St Kitts and Nevis have taken to social media and expressed their gratitude for the work that the junior Minister of State with responsibility for Youth Empowerment, Ageing and Disabilities, Isalean Phillip, has been doing for the wellbeing of the island.
