The minister of Tourism in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Marsha Henderson, has recently taken to social media to share a comprehensive update on the cruise season of St Kitts and Nevis. The country has witnessed a highly successful cruise season for several months. The nation has received hundreds of cruise calls to its shores. The cruise calls brought several passengers and tourists to the shores of St Kitts and Nevis. 

The tourism sector of the island nation, which was struggling in the aftermath of the Covid-19 Pandemic, recieved a revival owing to the success of the cruise season. As per the update shared by the Minister of Tourism, civil aviation, St Kitts and Nevis, Marsha Henderson, The cruise sector continues to be a strong industry foundation. 

Thus far, for the 2022-2023 cruise season, St. Kitts has welcomed 687,958 cruise passengers. This represents an increase of 123% compared to the 2021-2022 season. Minister Marsha Henderson asserted, in line with the statistics, that they are certainly moving in the right direction.

The success of the Cruise season of St Kitts and Nevis has brought significant changes to the country’s tourism sector. All the country’s people dependent on the tourism sector of St Kitts and Nevis returned to some semblance of normalcy during the Cruise season. 

With the shores of St Kitts and Nevis playing host to several thousand travellers at once, the culture and beauty of St Kitts and Nevis remained on full display for the world. The revellers enjoyed the warm and welcoming locals and the abundant offering of nature and natural beauty in the country. 

  • As per the statistics shared by Marsha Henderson, the Minister of Tourism, In October, the island welcomed 8,403 guests and travellers
  • In November, the number jumped almost ten times. The island played host to 81,255 travellers who go the chance to enjoy the hospitability and offering of the island nation
  • In December, the number saw a further increase; 116,593 people travelled to St Kitts on Cruise during the month
  • In January, the island played host to 150,353 tourists
  • In February, St Kitts welcomed 144,952 travellers to their shores
  • In MARCH, 142,175 travellers graced the island of St kitts
  • In April, As of 12 April 2023 44,227 travellers have come to the island so far
