Basseterre: iConnect has launched a Ferry service in St Kitts and Nevis to facilitate travel between the two sister islands. The ferry service will run for four days in a week and take the people from Major Bay St Kitts to Long Point Nevis and Vice Versa. The new service will run four times a day (twice from either stops).
The state-of-the-art iConnect ferry service was launched on Tuesday by Farron Lawrence, a renowned entrepreneur and real estate super developer from Nevis. The ferry brings the most modern and advanced technologies, and will provide its services across the twin-island federation.
iConnect will make daily trips, from Monday to Thursday. The schedule is as follows:
Monday
– Long Point, Nevis at 10:30 am
Tuesday
– Major’s Bay, St. Kitts at 12:00 am
Wednesday
– Long Point, Nevis at 2:30 pm
Thursday
– Major’s Bay, St. Kitts at 4:00 pm
The time it takes to travel between Majors Bay and Long Point is approximately 40 minutes. The IConnect ferry service is being called “Bridging the Crossing”.
The name according to the company is extremely apt as that is the purpose of the ferry service. The new ferry service is a significant milestone in the transportation capacity of the twin island nation.
The ferry iConnect outlines the significance of sustainability and at the same, the management is making several measures to maintain safety at sea. These precautionary measures will play a huge role in enhancing the travel experience of all the visitors.
In addition, the staff aims to prioritize punctuality and on-time departure from respective stops and to provide professional service for a satisfactory passenger experience.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas took to his official social media handle (Facebook) to express his excitement for the arrival of iConnect Ferry Services on both islands.

The guests were given an opportunity to have an exclusive onboard tour of iConnect during the inauguration event. From voluminous lounges to breath-taking views of the Caribbean Sea from windows, this ferry has everything to offer to its guests.
The arrival of the ferry is expected to foster the economic conditions of the country and bring significant upgradation, growth and improvements in the tourism sector.
