Dr Geoffery Hanley Meets staff at Ministry of Ecclesiastical and Faith-Based Affairs and Human Settlement
Deputy Prime Minister Dr Geoffrey Hanley visited the Ministry of Ecclesiastical and Faith-Based Affairs and Human Settlement, one of the ministries that he is responsible for, on Tuesday, August 30, 2022
The Minister of Ecclesiastical and Faith-Based Affairs and Human Settlement met with the Permanent Secretary in Ministry, Brenda Boncamper and staff members during the visit and were able to exchange ideas.
Dr Geoffrey Hanley shared a social media post, sharing an update regarding his visit. In the post, He wrote:
“Permanent Secretary Boncamper provided me with an insightful briefing on the Affairs of the Ministry, and I am incredibly excited about taking this Ministry to the next level. Through this Ministry, I intend to positively touch and transform our people’s lives.”
He added that he and his Ministry would work diligently to ensure that the people in our various communities benefit from the vigilance and vision of our team. This undertaking will be a collective and intentional one where we seek to end those ills that hurt us and embrace the principles that encourage harmony across the length and breadth of our nation.”

On Monday, August 29, 2022, The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education shared the seven priority areas at the opening ceremony of the Annual Summer Workshop for teachers, including the Construction of a brand new Basseterre High School, complete renovation of the Joshua Obadiah Williams Primary School in Molineux, a restart of the One-to-One Laptop Programme among other areas of priority.
During his address at the Annual Summer Workshop for teachers, The Deputy Prime Minister stated, “Education is the core of every great society and is the vehicle by which citizens can elevate themselves,”.
“It is imperative, therefore, that as educators, we begin to reimagine these opportunities to adequately prepare our students to manoeuvre the turbulent waters of life successfully.
