The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) took to its Facebook account to congratulate the newly appointed Prime Minister of the twin-island Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, following the triumph of the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) at the general elections held on August 05, 2022.
St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) recorded a historic win in the country’s general election hosted by the federation of St Kitts and Nevis on Friday, August 5, 2022. St Kitts and Nevis Labour party elected six of their eight nominated candidates for St Kitts and Nevis General Assembly.
In a Facebook post, published on the official page of The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, ECCB Connects, the authorities posted a congratulatory message for the newly appointed Prime Minister, welcoming him as the newest member of the council.
The caption read: “The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) extends congratulations to the newly appointed Prime Minister of Saint Christopher and Nevis, The Honourable Dr Terrance Drew, following the victory of St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) at the general elections held on Friday, August 5, 2022.
The ECCB is looking forward to welcoming the new Council Member for Saint Christopher and Nevis and working closely with the Government of Saint Christopher and Nevis to transform our region.
The Monetary Council comprises the Ministers for Finance (Council Members) of the eight ECCB Participating Governments and is the Bank’s highest decision-making body.
Dr Terrance Drew was sworn-in as the prime minister of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis in a Swearing-In ceremony hosted at the Government House in St Kitts on Saturday, August 6, 2022. In the ceremony, he was accompanied by his Ministerial cabinet and comrades from St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) who won from their respective constituencies
