St. Kitts and Nevis: Fish Fry and Cook-Off Festival to be organized in East Basseterre led by Deputy Prime Minister Geoffery Hanley. The events are scheduled for July 6, 2024. The invitations for the event have already been extended to the community for their participation.

The festival will be held for all professional chefs of the East Basseterre community and cooks to being their talents to the competition.

Hosted under the theme- “Its Cook-Off Time,” the festival aims to encourage local community workers and provide them with an opportunity to work on their skills in different fields.

For the competition, all the participants will be given a mystery box with identical ingredients for the preparation of the dish. A time-limit of only 90 minutes to plate one dish will also be given.

The competition was first held last year where the community came together and successfully participated in different rounds. The winner also received cash prize and other special prizes.

With a total of five chefs, the competition, last year, received a great recognition and immense support due to which it turned out to be a great success. The winner was awarded with the cash prize of $1000.00 and other prizes.

Even the runners-up received great prizes. The first runners-up received a cash prize of $500.00 and other prizes. And the second runners-up was awarded with $300.00 and other surprises.

Deputy Minister Geoffery Hanley also highlighted the aim to organize these events by posting on his social media. He also made a post about the details of the event. He said that these events are a chance for the people of St. Kitts and Nevis to polish their skills and a chance to tell people about emerging talents in different fields.
