The Ministry of Agriculture – Nevis invites all the nationals to participate in the Cooking Competition on June 14, 2024 and get a chance to win a cash price up to $600. The registration fee for the competition is $50.
As the Nevis Fish Festival is being around the corner, the authorities are excited to host the thrilling line-up of musicians and artists in the event. The festival will be held on June 14 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Nevis Water Front.
The event will feature many kid games, competitions and live entertainment to celebrate the tireless efforts and contribution of fisherfolk in the fishery sector of the sister island. The Nevis Fishermen Marketing Supply Cooperatives extended an invitation to all the citizens to buy locally grown products of fisherfolk, in order to support their business.
Notably, fishing tournament will be a part of the festivities, where the individuals can win up to $500 cash prize.
Moreover, Cooking Competition, and Ballyhod Easting Competition will add more colors to the festivities. The Cash Bar & Happy Hour will feature several mesmerising performances of the renowned artists for the entertainment of the attendees.
The music lovers from several parts of the region are invited to celebrate and experience the electrifying performances of Real Right Entertainment, Blackstone and Boby Toby and enjoy the various genres of music.
The citizens will be given an opportunity to taste the scrumptious and aromatic seafood dishes, which will be made by the local fishermen. The dishes will be on sale and locals are encouraged to buy those products to support them. Also, the audience will get three beers for only $10.
It is to be added that the fish festival is celebrated every year by the Cooperatives, with various activities and exciting games. In 2021, the festival featured many delicious sea foods in their menu such as Fried Fish, Fish Kabab, Grilled Shellfish, Conch Chowder, Conch Water, Grilled Lobster, Lobster Chowder, Fresh Fish and many more.
