Hon. Dr Terrance Drew Constituency 8 Football Cup concluded on saturday October 18 2025. Four teams from constituency 8 participated in the football cup. Cayon FC, Conaree FC, Fireballs FC and St. Peter’s FC competed for the cup in the final showdown. At the end of the event St. Peter’s FC emerged in the first place and claimed the cup for the 2025 edition.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew who was the sponsor of the football tournament shared some images from the final night of the event on his social media he also took the time to go out and support the final four teams. He also highlighted that many people across the communities of constituency 8 came out in their numbers to support their preffered team.
The Constituency 8 Football Cup finals served as a venue for the celebration of spirit of unity and sportsmanship. The Prime Minister applauded all 4 teams for their dedication and hardwork in making the tournament a success.
Conary FC finished 2nd and Cayon FC ended the tournament in the 3rd place. Fireballs FC which is a team from Conarry finished last. The Fireballs are a comparatively younger team but throughout the tournament they have shown tremendous promise in the last weeks the players from Fireballs FC have shown determination to do well in the tournament.
Prime Minister Drew called the tournament inspiring and excellent. He also encouraged more youngsters to come forward and enrol themselves in disciplines such as sports. He urged the youngsters of the country to remain positive and do well in their lives in the future.
PM Drew called on the youngsters to be disciplined and focused on pursuing their goals both on and off the field. The Prime Minister have been sponsoring this tournament for many years and bringing the youngsters and community together through sports.
