Cybernatica has been selected as the Strategic Adviser by the Government of St Kitts and Nevis as they implement the National Digital Identity system. The aim of this initiative is to advance the e-government transformation with strategic guidance and expert support from Cybernetica.
Cybernetica is one of the most important architects of e-Estonia and the Estonian digital government ecosystem. They will be helping in the development and implementation of a strong Digital Identity Authentication System.
To ensure long-term success of this initiative, Cybernatica will work in collaboration with the Ministry of ICT and Posts and will conduct a detailed review of the current digital identity landscape.
Cornerstone for Digital Transformation
According to the government of St Kitts and Nevis, digital identification authentication will be the most important step in the digital transformation of the twin island nation. St Kitts and Nevis is also prioritizing digital identity, interoperability, legislative frameworks, data management, and cybersecurity.
The Minister of Public Infrastructure and ICT, Konris Maynard said that digital transformation is not just a goal for them, but a necessity in shaping the economic and social future of St Kitts and Nevis.
Cybernetica’s lead consultant, Dr Valentyna Tsap added that a robust digital identity system is one of the cornerstones of any modern digital state, because it enables secure, efficient, and accessible public services.
Digital Identity Authentication System
This system will be launched by the end of 2025 and will include an electronic ID card, powered by Idemia chips, allowing the citizens and residents of the nation to identify themselves digitally and physically.
Furthermore, Minister Konris Maynard stated that this initiative will not only adopt new technologies, but will reimagine how the government delivers services, engage with the citizens, and empower the workplace.
