The streets of Nevis come alive today with the Culturama 49 Street Parade. The concluding event for the 49th edition of the Culturama Festival took place on August 8, 2023. The Street Parade and Last Lap Jump Up were attended in large numbers by the country’s people. The Prime Minister of the Country, Dr Terrance Drew, took the initiative to travel to Nevis to attend the closing events of the Culturama.

The Street Parade and Last Lap Jump Up featured several eye-catching costumes, energetic folklore performances, floats and a motorcade of Culturama 49 winners. In the words of the organizers of the Culturama Festival, this parade will be an unforgettable celebration of unity, diversity and pure Nevisian joy.

The event was contested by many parade goers who travelled the entire island of Nevis alongside the hundreds of people from across the federation. The Street Parade and Last Lap Jump Up featured several events, including the Road March, Folklore, Float and Fantasy.

The organizers of the Culturama took to their social media accounts to share the results for all the segments of the Street Parade and Last Lap Jump Up. The results of the Road March Events are as follows:

The Kore Band Song Road March received 550 points in the contest and secured first place in the category. Meanwhile, in the folklore segment, DAVID’S DYNASTY received 421 PTS, securing first place. Meanwhile, with a point difference of 100 points, TROPICAL VYBES FOLKLORE TROUPE secured 321 PTS to claim the second spot.

The next category was for the Float Results

In this category, MANGO FANTASY received first place with 396 points to their credit. Meanwhile, PROUD PEACOCK secured 371 points for second place.

The final category for the Street Parade and Last Lap Jump Up is Fany. The results are as follows:
