Concerned Citizens Movement hold Motorcade and Rally ahead of Nomination Day

The politicians of the Concerned Citizens Movement in Nevis are gearing up for the assembly elections. The island will observe the nomination day for the upcoming elections on Monday, December 5, 2022. 

Ahead of the nomination day, the official social media page of the Concerned Citizens Movement featured a post where the political party urged supporters, citizens and residents of the island to come forward to support the political leaders by attending the Motorcade and Rally.

The Rally and Motorcade are scheduled to be held on Monday, December 5 2022. According to the post, the Motorcade will start from Caribbean Cove at 9:00 AM. 

The Motorcade had five stops, featuring the leaders of the Concerned Citizens Movement, Spencer Brand, Eric Evelyn, Alexis Jeffers, Latoya Jones and Mark Brantley. 

The first stop of the Motorcade was with Eric Evelyn: The Motorcade stopped at Hanleys Road Community Centre

The second stop of the event featured Alexis Jeffers: Newcastle Police Station.

The third Stop of the Motorcade featured the newest member of the candidate squad and one of the youngest candidates from the Concerned Citizens Movement, Latoya Jones: Cotton Ground Police Station.

At Fourth Stop, the Motorcade met Spencer Brand at the Magistrate Court, Charlestown.

At Fifth Stop, the leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement, Mark Brantley, greeted his supporters at the Albertha Payne Community Center, Bath Village.

Later in the evening, Latoya Jones will lead the BIG BLUE MACHINE (Concerned Citizens Movement leaders and supporters) into the heart of Cotton Ground!

The main rally will start from 7:00 PM.

Talking about the momentous day that Monday, December 5 2022 will be for the political landscape of Nevis, Latoya Biyanca Jones wrote: Tomorrow is an important date on the political calendar in Nevis. It’s Nomination Day. From Monday it will be formal. I will become the official candidate for the great CCM party in St Thomas. I thank my colleague and former candidate, Keith Dis N Dat Scarborough for the great groundwork he laid for me. Many thanks, King. Now, it’s ALL THE WAY WITH LBJ. 

From the CCM Party, the following leaders will file their nominations:

Spencer Brand: Nevis 1 St Paul’s

Mark Brantley: Nevis 2 St John’s

Eric Evelyn: Nevis 3 St George

Alexis Jeffers: Nevis 4 St James

Latoya Jones: Nevis 5 St Thomas
