Dr Terrance Drew thanked all the people who supported him on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, thus formalizing his nomination as the candidate of the St Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) for the June 5 poll.
Dr Drew thanked Africa Mills and Cynthia Bart for nominating him as the candidate for Constituency Eight for the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party.
He said that listening to the ideas and concerns over the years continues to shape his vision, drive and plans for the betterment of the entire constituency of St Christopher 8 and the country and that he is incredibly proud to be part of a movement whose values are built on the progress of the people and nation.
Terrance Michael Drew has been selected as the candidate for St. Christopher #8 from St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party which includes his home parish St. Peter’s.
He got an education at the Deane- Glasford Primary School and then went to Basseterre Junior High and then moved on to Basseterre Senior High schools before he graduated from the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College in 1996.
Dr Drew was a part-time teacher at the age of 19 at the Basseterre High School where he used to teach Physics and Mathematics.
Dr Drew was one of the first batch of students from St Kitts and Nevis who went to Cuba to study in 1998.
His discipline was Medicine, and he graduated with first-class Honors from the Institute Superior De Ciencas Medicas which is located in Santa Clara, Cuba.
He then returned to St Kitts and started working as a general practitioner at the Joseph N. France General Hospital as well as from his own private office.
In 2010, he went to the United States for studying Internal Medicine at the Paul Foster School of Medicine, and from there he graduated in June 2013 as a member of the American College of Medicine as well as the American Medical Association.
Dr Drew then served as a medical intern at the Joseph N. France General Hospital during 2005 and 2006, and he completed rotations in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Community Medicine and Emergency Care.
Dr Drew also worked as a House Officer from 2006 to 2007 and from 2007 to 2010, Dr Drew also worked as a District Medical Officer with the Ministry of Health.
He takes part actively in helping young people in football and basketball and the community sports area.
His transition into politics is an extension of his commitment towards service and the well-being of the people of Constituency #8 as well as the people of St Kitts and Nevis.
With a clear vision of enhancement and advancement, Dr Drew would continue to find new opportunities for the development of the people in his constituency as well as the Federation as a whole.
