The Ministry of Agriculture in St Kitts and Nevis is preparing for the two highly significant events for the Agriculture Sector. The Agriculture Open Day and Marine Expo is turning 30 this year. Furthermore, the agriculture stakeholders of the twin island federation are also preparing for the Caribbean Week of Agriculture.
In both the events, the members of the community have the opportunity to showcase the brilliance of the agriculture sector of the nation. The officials have shared that they are ready to represent the country with grace and enthusiasm both regionally and nationally.
The Ministry of Agriculture is organizing the events in honor of being given the opportunity to highlight their prowess as a leader of the agriculture sector in the Caribbean region. Caribbean Week of Agriculture (CWA) is gathering of regional agriculture stakeholders from all over the Caribbean. The event will highlight the role of the country in the field of Caribbean agricultural dialogue, innovation, and collaboration.
30th Edition of Agriculture Open Day will also be celebrated as a part of the CWA 2025 in the upcoming month. The agriculture stakeholders of the twin island federation will be given the opportunity to highlight their work.
The event is a flagship local showcase for the agriculture sector of St Kitts and Nevis. They are also celebrating three decades of farmers, fishers, and agro-processors displaying the best of St Kitts and Nevis agriculture.
The Minister of Agriculture reflected on the important event for the benefit of the people of the overarching goals of the country. He said that they are opportunities to raise the standard, spotlight our farmers’ resilience, and showcase how the twin island nation is a leader in sustainable agriculture.
