The police force in Guyana are investigating a fatal incident which occurred on Sunday June 25, 2023. The official reports have suggested that the accident took place at 01:15 AM on Bush Lot Public Road Essequibo Coast. The accident of the vehicle has resulted in the death of the driver while two victims of the incident escaped with some injuries.
The police has identified the vehicle involved in the accident as a motorcar #PAD 5291. The vehicle was owned and driven by 19-year-old Mario Adams of lot 45 Lima Sands Essequibo Coast. The fatal accident also involved occupant 32-year-old Troy Ross of lot 52 La Belle Alliance, Lima Sands, Essequibo Coast, 21-year-old Dean Cortman of Lima Sands, Essequibo Coast and another male who fled the scene.
Guyana Police Officials made enquiries which disclosed that the said motorcar was proceeding north along the western driving lane on the said public road at a fast rate. The driver was in the process of negotiating a right bend. At this time, the 19-year-old driver lost control of the motorcar and collided head on to a light pole which is located on the western side of the road.
As a result of the collision, the driver and occupants were taken out of the motorcar by public-spirited citizens of Guyana because the vehicle went up in flames due to the collision and was completely burnt.
Afterwards, The driver and occupants of the were taken to the Suddie Public Hospital in Guyana where they were seen and examined by a doctor on duty who pronounced the driver Mario Adams dead on the said date at 01:50 hours.
His body was escorted to the hospital’s morgue awaiting PME.
Troy Ross was seen and examined by the said doctor and admitted a patient at the said institution with lacerations about the body while Dean Cortman was admitted for trauma to the head and lacerations about the body
