The Ministry of Tourism is commemorating Tourism Awareness Month under the theme: “Our People, Our Communities, Our Future: Reimagining Tourism Together,” The Ministry of Tourism has shared a full schedule of events which the administration will be hosting throughout the month of October.
The authorities have shared that the event will feature a number of activities aimed towards honoring the various aspects of the tourism sector. The officials from the Ministry of Tourism kickstarted the tourism month with a church service which was hosted at the Zion Moravian Church on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 9:30 AM.
The stakeholders who were present at the church service sought blessings for the success of the month-long festivities. The Tourism Awareness Month will also feature events which will help in highlighting the role played by tourism in the growth of the economy of St. Kitts and Nevis.
The Tourism Awareness Month started with community conversations hosted on September 30th. Throughout the month of October, the events will engage members of the community along with tourism stakeholders to help people in understanding the importance of the sector.
The officials have shared that each of the activities has been created to give the community a chance to come together. The people can celebrate the country’s progress in tourism over the last few months which have been highly successful.
The community can come together to help shape a stronger tourism experience for all the people visiting the island as the country marks the formal beginning of the tourism season. The organisation has shared that the month long commemoration of the tourism awareness month will feature events such as the talks in schools, youth tourism explorer programmes, events include awareness events which allow people to understand the state of the tourism sector.
The people can additionally participate in initiatives such as the fishing tournament in Dieppe Bay. The Ministry has confirmed that more details about the events will be shared at later dates.
