Police Investigate Cayon Street Accident Involving Sam Condor and Wife

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) is investigating a road accident which happened along Cayon Street in Basseterre in the evening hours of Friday. The officials have shared that the former Deputy Prime Minister and Former UN Ambassador of St. Kitts and Nevis Sam Condor and his wife Eugenie Condor were involved in the accident. 

The couple was crossing the roadway along Cayon Street when a motor vehicle struck them in the early hours of the evening. The incident happened around 7:15 p.m. near the traffic point. 

The vehicle which struck the couple was being driven by Novelle Rogers. The individual has been identified as a resident of the Ottley’s village and he was travelling west along Cayon street when the collision happened. 

The couple fell to the ground after the collision and sustained minor injuries on their person. They were immediately transported to the JNF General Hospital in the aftermath of the accident. As per the most recent updates available with the authorities, they received treatment for minor injuries. Afterwards, Eugenie Condor was shifted to a ward for observation by the doctors at the hospital. 

The couple is reported to be in a stable condition. The Police Force is investigating the accident and has confirmed that they will continue to provide more information as and when it becomes available. The authorities have urged motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution on the road to prevent incidents like these from happening.

The administration of the country has been dedicatedly working with community members to ensure that the roads are safe for movement. Road safety is an essential part of community education drive which the administration continues to pursue at regular intervals. 

In the aftermath of the incident, the people of the island have come out to pray for the wellbeing and recovery of the Condors.
