Star of the Seas and Celebrity Beyond Bring More Than 10,500 Passengers to St Kitts and Nevis

Star of the Seas and Celebrity Beyond have made a cruise call to  the island on Thursday, May 28, 2026. The two ships brought along 10,500 passengers to the island, a massive victory in the tourism season. The officials have shared that the arrival of the two cruise ships in the off season highlights the favourable position that St Kitts and Nevis enjoys within the tourism sector of the country. 

The tourism stakeholders have shared that the people of the island have shared that Star of the Seas brought 7,161 passengers onboard as it docked at Port Zante. On the other hand, Celebrity Beyond had 3,400 passengers onboard while the ship visited the island. 

The arrival of the two vessels coincided with the Press conference organised by the Minister of Tourism. During this press conference, the Minister highlighted the growth of the tourism sector of the federation in terms of cruise and airlift arrivals.

The Minister’s claims were supported by the arrivals of these two cruise ships bringing a large influx of tourists to the island. Their arrival is extremely significant as this is the off season for cruise tourism.

The St Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority has shared their delight on the arrival of the cruise ships. The organisation shared that these two modern cruise vessels continue to highlight the growing appeal of St. Kitts and Nevis as a premier Caribbean cruise destination while supporting visitor experiences, tourism activity, and local economic impact,” said SCASPA.

According to the stakeholders of the tourism sector present on the scene, most of passengers and scores of crew members came ashore. The arrivals provided business to the taxi drivers, tour operators, vendors, restauranteurs and other persons in the tourism industry.

Passengers also shopped for locally-made craft, souvenirs, perfume  and jewellery on Port Zante, while others went on organized and selected island tours and trails of St. Kitts via taxis and the St. Kitts Scenic Railway.
