The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew is being flown out of the country for specialised medical observation. The Prime Minister was admitted to the JNF General Hospital on Sunday evening, August 30, 2026 after he experienced headache, mild nausea and mild discomfort.

The Prime Minister has been under the observation of a full team of doctors for over the last 18 hours. The officials have confirmed that Dr Drew has undergone a thorough clinical observation under a team of physicians.

According to the information shared by the cabinet of St Kitts and Nevis, the doctors at JNF General Hospital are satisfied with the Prime Minister’s condition after their diagnostic review. The team of doctors has also confirmed that the Prime Minister is currently awake, stable and alert. 

The team of doctors have further suggested that out of abundant caution, the Prime Minister should be transported out of the country for more specialised observation. The decision has been made after the medical team’s suggestion based on the eighteen-hour observation. 

The team of experts have asserted that while abroad, Dr Drew will receive precautionary monitoring. The government officials are making arrangements to facilitate smooth transportation for the Prime Minister,

The update on the Prime Minister’s health situation has been shared by the Cabinet and official sources of St Kitts and Nevis government. The authorities have further asserted that they will continue to update the people about Dr Drew’s health situation. 

After Dr Terrance Drew has been transported abroad for the special observation and precautionary monitoring, the government will provide a more comprehensive update on the situation. 

The government is expected to issue a further update on the Prime Minister’s health status at 7:00 PM today. The people from all the country have come forward to extend their wishes and prayers for the health and recovery of Prime Minister Drew.
