The Governor General of St. Kitts and Nevis, Marcella Liburd received two courtesy calls on May 13 to accept credentials from the new Ambassador Designate of Guatemala to St Kitts and Nevis and the Ambassador Designate of Algeria to St Kitts and Nevis.
Both the Ambassador Desiignates, from Guatemala and Algeria presented their respective documentation and letters of credence to the Governor General. The Ambassador Designate of the Republic of Guatemala to St. Kitts and Nevis,, Karla Gabriela Samayoa Recari paid a courtesy visit to the Governor General on Wednesday.
Ambassador Recari presented her credentials to the Governor General and engaged in fruitful discussion with her. The discussions centred around the relationship that St. Kitts and Nevis and the Republic of Guatemala enjoy.
The meeting highlighted the strengths of the international bond, while the Ambassador Designate promised to further these bonds. The Meeting discussed ways of furthering cooperation and mutual understanding between the two nations.
Shortly after the conclusion of the meeting with Ambassador Recari, Governor General Marcella Liburd received the Ambassador Designate of Algeria, Farouk Benmokhtar. The Ambassador presented his credentials to the Governor General in a short ceremony. The two nations, likewise share warm and significant relations between one another.
The Ambassador designate pledged to take the relationship forward and continue to work for enabling collaborations between the two nations on areas of mutual interest. The Ambassador Designates are also expected to meet the Prime Minister of the country, Dr Terrance Drew for presenting their credentials to start their tenures as the representatives of their respective nations.
