Digital Transformation Unit St. Kitts and Nevis Expands Public Awareness Campaign Ahead of National e-ID Rollout

The Digital Transformation (DTU) Unit of St. Kitts and Nevis has announced that they working on stakeholder education and awareness ahead of the introduction of the national electronic identification system (e-ID). The organisation has shared that they have started educational and awareness sessions to get the nation ready for the administration’s mandate of digital transformation. 

The first group of stakeholders who were engaged as a part of the awareness drive, were the seniors of the federation. Following the success of that engagement, the other stakeholders of the country were also invited to be a part of the sit down discussions to get all the required information regarding the digitization drive. 

The officials have shared that the sessions are being conducted with the participation of people from both the public sector and the private sector. The leaders of the island have shared that the members of the community should understand all the facts related to the upcoming digitization of several sectors of St Kitts and Nevis. 

The Digital Transformation Unit of St Kitts and Nevis has shared that the government officials, members of the administration, statutory bodies, healthcare providers, banks and financial institutions, utilities, educational institutions, business organizations, and community groups were also part of the sessions.

With the awareness sessions, the unit wants to help the stakeholders understand the role and importance of digital transformation in St. Kitts and Nevis. The officials have also shared that they want to show the various stakeholders how initiatives such as e-ID will help in the creation of a more efficient, secure, and connected way of accessing services. 

According to the unit officials, the meeting also gives the representatives of the organisation an opportunity to work directly with the DTU. 

The representatives can ask questions, and gain insight into how the new systems can work for their benefit. The organisation has shared that digital identity and modern digital systems can improve service delivery, reduce repetitive processes, strengthen security, and create a more seamless experience for citizens and businesses.

St. Kitts and Nevis is building a future-ready digital ecosystem for the people of the islan. In this process, it is important to continue stakeholder engagements so that they can trust the proces.

The stakeholder engagements are aimed towards building better awareness and get the people ready for upcoming digital initiatives.

The Digital Transformation Unit has invited the businesses, organizations, institutions, and community groups interested in learning more about digital transformation and e-ID to contact the Unit to arrange stakeholder awareness sessions.
