Director of ABL Inc, Harvey Sangha, said the company is committed to employing local labour during the construction phase and beyond the project’s completion. He emphasised that the development will benefit local communities by generating employment opportunities throughout the construction period.
Sangha added that interested individuals may directly contact ABL Inc to inquire about available opportunities as they arise. He noted that the company’s priority has always been to create new jobs, foster entrepreneurship, and bring renewed vitality to the Fortlands area.
Officially launched with a formal groundbreaking ceremony in October last year, the project will feature the Symbol of Love Museum and Monuments, inspired by the architectural influence of the Taj Mahal.

The official groundbreaking ceremony, held in October 2025, was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew and Minister of Tourism Marsha Henderson.
During the ceremony, Prime Minister Drew highlighted that the project represents a significant foreign direct investment and assured that a majority of the workforce would be sourced locally. He also underscored the importance of environmental safeguards and archaeological supervision to protect the historical legacy of Fort Thomas.
The project aims to blend education, culture, and leisure, offering visitors an immersive experience through a Caribbean history museum that will showcase the evolution of the region, its people, and its art.
Notably, the Symbol of Love is currently one of the largest projects underway in the Federation and is expected to become a major attraction upon completion. The initiative also aligns with St. Kitts and Nevis’ tourism brand, “Venture Deeper,” which encourages visitors to explore the rich cultural layers and identity of the Federation and the wider region.
The site will also include botanical gardens with serene water features, restaurants, cafés, and shops offering authentic Caribbean hospitality, and a jetty providing sea access to strengthen the cruise tourism product.
