St Kitts Department of Youth Empowerment is organizing another summer camp for the youngsters of the island. The summer camp, ROOM TO GROW: In the Right Direction, is starting on August 11, 2025 and will run for two weeks, concluding on Friday, August 22, 2025.
The two-week summer camp is open for the youngsters across the island between the ages of 7 to 16. The event is being hosted in order to give the youngsters an opportunity to showcase their talent and learn valuable life lessons.
Children of all ages will be taken through the two-week camp learning social skills, conflict resolution, anger management. The camp will also feature self-defense lessons in taekwondo along with how to fight peer pressure.
The summer camp organizers have also shared that the participating children across the community will be getting lessons in areas like fighting bullying, general etiquette, creative agriculture and more. The officials have shared that the children will also learn activities like creating an Upholstery, Crochet, Paint & Sip, Soap Making, Nail Painting, Tie Dyeing and more
The officials have shared that the summer camp will start on August 11 from 9AM–3PM at 17 Degrees, Victoria Road. The two week summer camp will be a learning opportunity in team building and collaboration. The leadership of St Kitts Department of Youth Empowerment has shared that they will provide food to all the attendants of the summer camp.
The lunch will be provided to all the participating children and they will be guided to a better place in life with the help of this two week summer camp. They will learn to empathise and work with issues for the people of the community.
The officials have shared that the members of the community have registered their children to participate in the two-week event. The programme seeks to make sure that all the children in the country are being inculcated with the right values and their talents are being given the right boost.
