Premier of Nevis and the leader of The Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM), Mark Brantley, will be hosting his monthly press conference on Tuesday, August 30 2022. The premier, who is also the current head of the Nevis Island Administration, hosts these press conferences on a regular basis to keep the residents and citizens under his administration updated on the various developments on the island.
The conference will be held in the Cabinet Room on the second floor of the Social Security Building at Pinney’s Estate, where Premier Brantley will talk about the various developments and essential issues pertaining to Nevis and the administration of the island.
This “Monthly Press Conference” is Premier Brantley’s first conference since the undisputable victory of his Political Party in the general elections hosted by the country on August 5, where the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) managed to win all three seats for the country’s general assembly from Nevis.
Following the conclusion of the general elections, Premier Brantley and his victorious comrades of the Concerned Citizens Movement were congratulated by the various political parties of the federation for a clean-sweep victory.
Premier Brantley himself had expressed his profound gratitude to the people of Nevis for reposing their trust in the political party and choosing the CCM to be the voice of the people of Nevis in Basseterre.
In the two weeks following the elections, Premier Brantley has repeatedly taken to his social media to keep the citizens of Nevis island informed of the developmental projects on the island.
He shared an update regarding the installation of a housing enclosure of a CT-Scan Machine in the Alexandra Hospital and insisted that the installation of the equipment would boost the healthcare facilities of the island significantly.
Further, the premier also disclosed the NIA’s plan to subsidize Nevis Electricity Company Limited (NEVLEC) to restrict the increasing fuel surcharge on electricity bills and relieve consumers on the island.
