Prime Minister Terrance Drew took to his Facebook account to share snapshots from the “First day at the job.” and reiterated the promises of working for the betterment of the federation.
Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, began his first day of working in the government office on Tuesday, August 9. He led his team of cabinet ministers-designate to the Office of the Prime Minister at Government Headquarters on Church Street, Basseterre.
On their first day, Terrance Drew and his Team were greeted by a large number of SKNLP supporters and well-wishers outside Masses House before going to Government Headquarters, where Cabinet Secretary Josephine Huggins met him on arrival.
Huggins then took Dr Drew to the Office of the Prime Minister, the Prime Minister’s Meeting Room and the Cabinet Room. He was accompanied by the successful SKNLP ministers-designate and Ambassador Kenneth Douglas, boosting speculation that Kenneth could become the next Cabinet Secretary.
Dr Terrance Drew was declared the winner from Constituency #8, taking two thousand nine hundred and fifty (2,950) votes gathering 60.2% of the votes cast.
Dr Denzil Douglas won in Constituency #6 with a thousand nine hundred and twenty-six (1926) votes, compiling 82.2 % of the votes cast.
Konris Maynard was announced the winner in Constituency #3 with one thousand seven hundred and forty-seven (1 747) votes, amassing 64.8 % of the votes cast.
Marsha Henderson won in Constituency #2 with a thousand eight hundred and forty-one (1841) votes, picking up 57.3 % of the votes.
Dr Geoffrey Hanley emerged victorious in Constituency #1 with thousand nine hundred and ninety-seven (1997) votes, totalling 60 % of votes cast.
Finally, Samal Duggins triumphed in Constituency #4, with a thousand two hundred and sixty-nine (1269) votes accumulating 54.1%.
Dr Terrance Michael Drew was officially sworn in on Saturday, August 6, 2022, as the fourth Prime Minister of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis by Sir S.W. Tapley Seaton, Governor-General, during a ceremony at Government House.
