St Kitts and Nevis has been ranked in the top ten in the Rumavi Global Relocation Index 2026. The federation has been placed in the 8th place, among 192 countries when it comes to suitability for relocation.
The officials have shared that the federation has been recognised as the best destination in the Caribbean region across 24 matrices. Some of these metrics are, healthcare, visa access, affordability, tax policy and safety.
St Kitts and Nevis has been placed in the eighth spot in the general ranking which looks at general livability. The officials have shared that the nation received an overall score of 70.3 in the general ranking.
In the ranking, the organisation makes use of four pillars,
- Financial and tax: This pillar analyzes affordability (cost of living), income tax, foreign-income treatment, capital and wealth tax, currency and banking.
- Livability and health: This pillar looks at the countries in terms of their offerings in healthcare quality and access cost, housing affordability, air quality, climate comfort, climate risk, green space, digital infrastructure.
- Safety and stability: Under this pillar, the countries are analysed based on street safety, rule of law, political stability, conflict risk, property rights for non-citizens.
- Settling and opportunity: The final pillar looks at countries based on visa ease, path to permanence, education, business opportunity, language and English access, startup ecosystem.
The nation has ranked first among all Caribbean nations across every category of rankings which is included in the index. The nation has been considered the sixth best nation to relocate to for retirees and secured 73 points in the ranking.
In the “best countries for the digital nomads” ranking, the federation ranked at 20, with a score of 70.5.
The nation’s most impressive ranking comes in tax friendliness. The nation ranked at fourth place in the world with 74.1 points. For families, the nation is the fifteenth best nation to relocate with points.
The nation has performed better than all of its Caribbean counterparts in all the rankings throughout the index. Rumavi, the firm which conducted the index has described themselves as an independent advisory.
The firm does not charge any commissions or retain any financial stakes in the index. They have shared that the index is published annually and all the rankings are based on significant research across 24 metrics.
