The People’s Labour Party Leader and Former Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Timothy has announced the dates for their annual convention.
The announcement was made during Dr Harris’s radio show on Freedom FM on July 21.
The Member of Parliament has confirmed that this year, the annual convention will be hosted across two major sessions. This is a unique method for hosting the event and bringing the political supported of the party together.
The first session is scheduled for Thursday, August 6, 2026 and the other session will be held on Saturday, August 8.
Harris has asked all the Supporters of the Political party to attend the convention in large numbers to support the party. The PLP Leader has also indicated that they are ready to unveil candidates for all the constituencies.
According to Harris, the party’s public candidate-selection process has officially closed. He also confirmed that the official screening of the candidates is also in the final stages and expected to end soon.
The leader has shared that only some administrative work is done to finalise the candidates. The official announcement will be made during the Day 2 of the convention on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
The first part of the event, that is August 6, 2026 Convention Day 1 is expected to be a private affair for the members of the political party. Day 2 of the Convention, which is August 8, 2026 will be open for the general public to join.
The leader of the People’s Labour Party has issued a passionate call for all the supporters of the political party to attend the convention in their large numbers.
The convention is also expected to have music and entertainment to allow the members of the political party to celebrate and enjoy. The other details of the convention will be shared in due course.
