Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew has opened the Youth Economic Empowerment Bureau Validation Workshop. The workshop started on Friday, May 22, 2026, for the youngsters of the country to come together.
The workshop serves as a very important step towards creating greater opportunities for young people in St Kitts and Nevis. During the workshop, Prime Minister Drew said that the youth of the country have immense potential.
He said that the government is dedicated to creating opportunities for youth-led innovation and entrepreneurship. The Prime Minister has been dedicated to provide a platform for the youngsters to grow.
The government has shared that the Youth Economic Empowerment Bureau is designed to help young entrepreneurs transform their ideas into successful businesses. The administration of the country seeks to support this mandate by providing access to mentorship, financing pathways, training, and essential support services.
The Prime Minister has shared that the Bureau will play a critical role in strengthening the youth of the country. This will allow the youngsters to take advantage of opportunities that come for them in a range of sectors, while helping to strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth across the Federation.
During his remarks, Prime Minister Drew asserted that he has faith in the capacity of the youngsters of the country. He said that they are capable of competing on a global stage once they are given the right tools, access, and opportunities to succeed.
The Prime Minister urged the youth of the country to adopt a global mindset and to see themselves not limited by population and size.
“The world is your stage, and you must see yourself as capable of competing and succeeding on that stage,” Prime Minister Drew stated
The Validation Workshop is an important part of the Government’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that the Bureau is responsive, impactful, and aligned with the needs and aspirations of young people throughout St Kitts and Nevis.
