Ambassador Donya Francis of the Embassy of St Kitts and Nevis in the Republic of China (Taiwan) donated 30 cameras to five secondary schools in the twin island nation.

The Embassy of St Kitts and Nevis represents the twin island nation in Taiwan, promoting bilateral relations between the two countries while offering support to the citizens of St Kitts and Nevis in Taiwan.

The cameras were donated to help implement the sister school initiative with Taiwanese schools and will be used for virtual meetings or video conferences.

Ambassador Francis said that the sister school initiative is being implemented to create equal benefits for learners in both Taiwan and St Kitts and Nevis while engaging in academic, language, social, and cultural exchanges to expand their vision and experience.

Moreover, the cameras will help schools in St Kitts and Nevis to hold virtual meetings with sister schools in Taiwan.

Basseterre High School and Taiwan’s Ger-Jyh Senior High School signed the first Memorandum of Understanding  (MoU), with Charles E Mills Secondary School signing a MoU with Dou-nan Senior High School in 2024, while the other three schools are anticipating and pursuing their sister school partnerships.

Some of the features in these cameras are 4k camera quality, flexible camera angle, a picture – in – picture interface, and built-in speakers and microphones with AI audio technology.
