St Kitts and Nevis: The Government of St Kitts and Nevis is all set to launch a cybersecurity certification program striving to strengthen national security and enhance employment opportunities.
Prime Minister Office made the significant announcement about the new program aiming to provide one hundred nationals with skills in high demand. The Government is also planning to expand the program to accommodate two hundred nationals for future.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew presented his views on this initiative and noted that the significance of the Cybersecurity Program is aligning with the administration’s vision of promoting education and innovation.
PM Drew said that this program will create opportunities for the people in the global tech industry and that it is a part of their commitment to empower nationals through education.
Significantly, the cybersecurity certification is made to address the increasing need for skilled professionals which is capable of protecting digital infrastructures from cyber threats.
The participants of this program will be getting training in various areas such as the network security, ethical hacking, risk assessment, and incident response.
The education programme will follow international standards, ensuring that the graduates are competitive in the global job market. Notably, this initiative is part of a wider strategy to expand the nation’s economy in various areas by developing a skilled workforce in the technology sector.
By investing in cybersecurity programmes, the government of St Kitts and Nevis aims to attract technology firms to the country to revive innovation and create highly paid jobs for its citizens.
