St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew commended the collaborative effort of the various authorities of St Kitts and Nevis as the refurbished foyer was officially handed over to the JNF General Hospital.

PM Drew shared the glimpses from the official donation of the refurbished foyer to the JNF hospital on his official social media account and commended the collaborative effort between The Cable, TDC, the Ministry of Health, and other private entities.

While sharing the highlights, PM Drew noted that this collaborative effort is a part of the transformation in healthcare delivery. Significantly, the ceremony was spearheaded by The Cable to commemorate the Federation’s 40th anniversary.

The newly refurbished JNF Lobby has been handed over to the Ministry of Health on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 during a ceremony. The ceremony was attended by the Federal Cabinet led by Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, representatives from The Cable, TDC Group of Companies, Management team from the Hospital, and other private sector partners.

The JNF Foyer renovation included the introduction of a bright colour scheme, better lighting, addition of new amenities such as a canteen, installation of larger television sets, polished flooring, the addition of new signage and improved landscaping.

PM Drew underscored the importance of this healthcare facility and noted that it is a national concern. “This could not have been done by any one person or entity, but by all of us coming together as one unstoppable force,” he mentioned.

Notably, the refurbishment of the JNF Hospital lobby is a small part of a larger initiative to improve healthcare facilities across the island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, said Prime Minister Drew and Curtis Martin, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health.

Considerably, the government’s broader strategy includes the development of a new, climate-smart hospital that will further help in the rise of the country’s healthcare infrastructure.
