Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr Terrance Drew extended best wishes to the students, teacher and auxiliary staff for their back-to-school day on September 2, 2024.
PM Drew, through his social media, extended his heartfelt wishes to the students as they go back to school for the new academic year.
He stated that the administration has made significant investments in education making sure that the students have the tools they need, such as their devices, to enhance the learning experience.
Notably, he also extended gratitude to all those at the Cayon High School who contributed in ensuring that the students will go back to a safe space.
PM Terrance Drew also mentioned that they have taken extensive measures to rid the school of mold to the extent of deploying advanced technology. It is to be noted that a task force has also been put together to deal with this issue of mold.
In addition to this, the Prime Minister also mentioned that the health and safety of the students, teachers, and auxiliary staff is the government’s number one priority and that it will never be compromised under any situation.
PM Drew encouraged all the students to work hard and to be kind and seize the opportunity to secure a good education.
He said to the teachers and staff that they hold power to shape futures and they should continue to inspire and uplift. “Best wishes to all,” stated the Prime Minister.
Significantly, PM Dr Terrance Drew hosted a Back-to-School Fair on September 1, 2024, prior to the commencement of the new academic year.
He spent time with the students and parents at his annual back to school event and also encouraged all the students to respect their teachers, and strive for the best as they head to the new school year.
