Antigua: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr Terrance Drew and Minister of Sports Samal Duggins travelled to Antigua for the Caribbean Premier League Opening game between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Antigua Falcons.
Prime Minister Drew shred glimpses of their meet with the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots team and congratulated them through his official social media account. He stated that the Patriots played well and won.
He also congratulated the St Kitts Team on their performance and noted that he looks forward to seeing the team in their home country.
Minister of Sports Samal Duggins also took his official Facebook account and showed his excitement of witnessing the match. He said,” Some experiences are just better in person.”
The first night of the Caribbean Premier League 2024 was absolutely electrifying, and he could not be more proud of the SKN Patriots, expressed Minister Samal Duggins delightfully.

He also put light on how the match was indeed a nail-biting one, going right down to the last ball, with just one more run needed or one more wicket in play for Antigua Falcons.

The Patriots played 11 with 6 debutants in this season. Significantly, they won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Notably, the Patriots won by 1 wicket and the final scores were 163-4 in 20 overs for the Antigua Falcons and 164-9 in 20 overs announcing the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots as the winners.
A shoutout to Kyle Mayers was also given for his standout performance that proved what it means to be a patriot.
Prior to the opening night of the match, the St Kitts And Nevis Patriots Team owner, Mahesh Ramani handed over the jerseys to the team members fuelling their drive to dominate the season and take the field with pride.
