Basseterre: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew shared the highlights of 92nd Conference of St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP). The grand event was held at Manhattan Gardens in Lime Kiln on Sunday, under the theme “Live, work, prosper: Together.”

While addressing the gathering, PM Drew commended the tireless efforts of the comrades of Labour Party in their respective fields. He extended a warm welcome to the General Secretary of the People’s National Party of Jamaica- Dayton R Campbell, who was the guest speaker at the conference.
Prime Minister said being a comrade has nothing to do with external factors, it is not about what they get or do not get. Under the governance of SKNLP, the nation has experienced an exceptional transformation in its landscape.
“It is not conditional to be a comrade. It does not depend on external factors to be a comrade. It does not depend on what we get or what we don’t get. It depends on the fact that it is great day for St. Kitts and Nevis political party and it is a party that transform the landscape of St. Kitts and Nevis,” highlighted the prime minister.
The party has survived every chaos and tribulation because the party leaders have faced every challenge and difficulties boldly. The great spirit of the Labour Party which is alive, leads them forward and gives them the direction they should take.
The leader of the twin-island federation said SKNLP is driven by a principle that says ‘For a good we can do,’ not only for ourselves but also for our fellow comrades.
During the conference, the party leadership joined activists in reiterating their commitment to the unity and progress of St. Kitts and Nevis. In addition, PM Drew underscored the role of activists and said that “activists are the backbone of the federation and this day is dedicated to all activists and their dedication.”
Moreover, many recreational activities were also organized in this program, in which a large number of people participated. On this occasion, the participants got an opportunity to interact directly with the leaders.
