Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Terrance Drew witnessed the official ceremony of signing a significant Memorandum of Understanding between Siemens and the K&K Group in Dubai. The main vision behind the signing of the agreement is to take crucial measures to enhance the green energy sector, fostering sustainability of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

The two reputable organizations signed the agreement at the Siemens Office at the Expo Pavilion in Dubai on Thursday. The presence of PM Drew in the ceremony shed light on his unwavering commitment and dedication towards fulfilling their agenda of becoming a sustainable island state. 

PM Drew shared numerous benefits that can be availed through this partnership. He stated that this collaboration between K&K Group and Siemens is a hope in their quest to build a sustainable, resilient and climate-smart future. 

This fruitful collaboration between the reputed firms of the United Arab Emirates will play a crucial role in exploring the advancement of the green energy sector in St. Kitts and Nevis to progress the nation towards growth and development. 

Moreover, the leader of St. Kitts and Nevis also met the prominent UAE-based investment firm, K&K Group on Wednesday and conducted several important discussions on the geothermal energy project. 

PM Terrance Drew’s visit to UAE and his meetings with such reputed firms reflect his continuous efforts towards improving energy security and improving access to energy by providing affordable, reliable and sustainable energy to all the citizens of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. 

He also added that advancements in the energy sector will also play a significant role in generating employment opportunities and enhancing economic conditions by reducing its dependence on fossil fuels. 

The project will also create a healthier environment for future generations by preserving natural resources and making efforts to tackle all the challenges faced by climate change. PM Terrance Drew is looking forward to serving all the benefits of the project to the citizens of the island nation, with a vision to enhance their standard of living.
