The Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley has taken to his social media account publicly to applaud and appreciate NEVLEC for their professionalism. The company worked hard to restore electricity after a road traffic accident disrupted the electricity supply.

The electricity installations in the lower Cotton Ground area were destroyed after a road traffic accident. The Premier of Nevis noted that the officials of the NEVLEC have shown tremendous dedication and professionalism.

They worked for the whole day on Sunday to make sure that the electricity supply can be restored in the affected areas. The Premier of Nevis shared the images of the affected electricity installations showing the damage that was incurred.

The premier acknowledged that the people of the affected areas had to go through inconvenience due to the accident. With this, he took the opportunity to share that the situation arose due to the careless driving of the people.

He asserted that the people of the country should be careful in their usage of the roads. The accidents that happen due to speeding can even turn fatal for road users. Accordingly, he asked people to remain cautious while driving.

He further added that in the last few months, the administration has worked hard to upgrade the country’s road infrastructure. They have made road travel easier for all Nevisians and ensured that they have access to the best facilities.

In light of their dedication, Premier Mark Brantley asserted that the people of the country must use the roads wisely and ensure that they do not put their lives or the island infrastructure into harm’s way.

The organization is responsible for the production and distribution of electricity on the island. The people of the country have also extended their best wishes to the people working for NEVLEC, stating that they also saw the organisation’s commitment towards the welfare of Nevisians.

Kudos to dedicated workers.” Said a social media user.
