Nagico Cayon Rockets defeated St. Thomas/Trinity Strikers in the final of Keith Gumbs U17 League, winning the championship.
The anticipated match ended the campaign of St. Thomas/Trinity Strikers in the Keith Gumbs U17 League. Both the teams showed determination and commitment when they came face to face. Their performance was eye-catching, and they recieved cheers from the support in the audience.
The tournament kicked off with Trinity Strikers on an advantage, receiving three free kicks from the fouls of Nagico Cayon Rockets. During the first half, the Trinity Strikers were playing full ground whilst their defence made the Cayon look like they were only playing half base without reaching the opposition side.
Trinity Strikers received another free kick in the 40 minutes, and it seemed like it was a goal, but the Cayon defenders came through and cleared the ball.
The game went to halftime on a draw of zero. After halftime, the teams continued to go head to head with each other, but none of the teams were at an advantage, leading to the end of the first 90 minutes with both teams on zero.
The penalty kicked off with the player of the St Thomas team taking a shoot but missed with over bar, leaving him with a disappointed face.
Nagico Cayon Rockets took the second shoot, and it went straight into the net, putting the Cayons in the lead with 1 to zero.
Trinity Strikers players took the third penalty, and the keeper saved the ball. Nagico Cayon Rockets’ penalty was also saved by the leg of the Trinity striker goalkeeper.
Nagico Cayon Rockets and St Thomas both scored the next penalties, putting them on a draw.

the last kick. Nagico Cayon Rockets shot the last penalty and went straight into the net, leading to Cayons achieving victory and winning the Keith Gumbs U17 League 2023
Regardless of the loss, St Thomas/Trinity Strikers showed unvacillating determination, and they put up a fight to the end of the Keith Gumbs U17 League.
