The prime minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, attended the awards and closing ceremony of the East Caribbean Golf Association (ECGA) Championships. He extended his heartfelt appreciation to the sportspersons who participated in the championship.
The event was held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at the Royal St. Kitts Golf Club. While extending his best wishes to all of the East Caribbean Golf Association (ECGA) Championships participants, he took the opportunity to highlight St. Kitts and Nevis players. Per the prime minister, Kittitian and Nevisian players and St. Lucia placed first place overall.
The Prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew, shared some glimpses of the closing and award ceremony of East Caribbean Golf Association (ECGA) Championships. The people of St Kitts and Nevis also appreciated and congratulated the winners on their success at the event.

Meanwhile, Dr Terrance Drew also took the opportunity to recognize and highlight President Zeke Percival. He called Percival a close and dear friend and recollected that he has persistently extended the offer of golf lessons to the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis. The PMa accordingly promised, Someday soon, I will take him up on that offer.
Finally, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew took the initiative to highlight the golfing venue of St Kitts and Nevis. He called “The Royal St Kitts Course” a jewel in the golfing crown of the country. He noted that the venue stands as a government-owned establishment that first welcomed golfers nearly half a century ago in 1976.
PM Terrance Drew said It boasts the distinction of being one of the oldest golf courses in our region. In 2004, this venerable course underwent a complete transformation, setting a new standard of excellence and it still stands as one of the most beautiful courses in the region and a pride for the country.
