Michael martin, the Head of the Citizenship by Investment Unit of St Kitts and Nevis is working on making the programme more attractive for international investors. He has introduced several significant advancements to the programme during his tenure as the head of CIU. He further stated that he continues to advocate for changes to make the programme more secure.

One of the most critical mandates that he has taken up is the effort to make the longest-running CBI Programme in the world stronger and more transparent. HNWIs today are especially concerned about safety and security, not only for their investments but also for themselves. In the uncertain global climate prevalent today, investors seek surety.

Under the leadership of Michael Martin, the Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) is making every effort to deliver. They have taken several steps to make certain that St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Programme can become more trustworthy. The team has taken into account the needs and requirements of the international community.

In accordance with this, the programme has taken steps to become more exclusive and introduced a completely new investment option. The Sustainable Island State Contribution offers investment opportunities for the HNWIs across the globe. Minimum investment for a single applicant under the SISC is  US $250,000 for a single applicant.

Other investment options under the SISC are:

  • Minimum contribution for a family of two – US$ 300,000
  • Minimum contribution for a family of three or four – US$ 350,000
  • Due diligence for a single applicant– US$ 10,000
  • Due diligence for a family of two – US$ 17,500
  • Due diligence for a familyof three or four – US$32,000

In addition to Sustainable Island State Contribution, the Citizenship by Investment Unit under Michael Martin has also introduced more stringent due diligence procedures. This step was taken to ensure that St Kitts and Nevis remains a destination exclusive to the most trustworthy investors.

The success of Michael Martin’s approach to handling the Citizenship by Investmnet Programme is evident in the fact that the country was best ranked in 2023 CBI Index. Maintaining streak of the last two years, the programme emerged at the top of the index with a score of 86%.

The country was among the first to strengthen its security measures after meeting international investment migration industry stakeholders. This is one of the many reasons attributing to the success of the programme in the CBI Index 2023.
