The family and loved ones of Michael “Mick Stokes” Heylinger are organizing a candle-lit vigil in memory of his departed soul. The musical superstar of St Kitts and Nevis, who gave most of his life to creating and sharing music with the people of the federation and the world, died in a nursing home earlier this month.
The musician’s family will organize the candle-lit vigil in honour of the musician on Thursday, July 27, 2023. The daughter of the deceased, Michael D Stokes, shared the update for the vigil and called on the people who admired and respected the late musician to be a part of the candle-lit vigil organized in his honour.
The event will start at 6:00 PM from Market Street, Parking Lot opposite the Mantis Garage. During the candle-lit vigil, the musician’s family, friends and loved ones will get to meet his admirers. The late musician, Mick Stokes had several fans and ardent admirers in St Kitts and Nevis.
Michelle D. Stokes, aka Sweet Sister Sensia, shared on her social media account that the funeral service for her father, Micheal “Mick Stokes” Heylinger will be held on August 10, 2023. She also added that the family will share further information later. Meanwhile, the invitation directed the country’s people to share their love and appreciation towards the musician.

He was a fearless and talented musician who inspired many musicians in the next generation. His daughter, Michelle D Stokes, better known as “Sweet Sister Sensia” has been the most prominent carrier of his legacy.
