St Kitts has recorded another two murders by gun violence less than 24 hours after a double homicide in the country. The two incidents occurred hours apart on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. The first incident happened along the Bypass Road of the FT Williams Highway on at around 7:00 AM. This incident of gun violence took place in the early hours of the morning. The preliminary investigation suggests that the victim was driving in his vehicle along the Bypass road when unknown people shot the victim.
The second victim was shot to death at around 2:30 PM on the same day. The incidents of murders have reached a worrying high of 16 homicides. The police force of St Kitts and Nevis has announced has identified the first victim from the Bypass Road incident as Alden Maynard. The victim of the gun violence was a well-known businessman in the community.
Meanwhile, the police have not revealed the identity of the second victim. The identity of the assailant(s) remains unknown. The police officials have already scoped both the crime scenes within the two communities. The investigation of the two homicides are ongoing. With these incidents, the total tally of homicide incidents within the federation has reached 16.
