The Minister of Education in the Nevis Island Administration, Troy Liburd, met with the various regional education departments to discuss two which involve the Caribbean Development Bank. The ministries and departments involved in the meeting were: CDB, Ministry of Education, St Kitts and Ministry and Department of Education, Nevis.
The representatives of these departments sat together in Nevis to discuss two projects, i:e, the TVET project and the Continuity of Learning project. Minister of Education in the Nevis Island Assembly Troy Liburd took to his social media account to share the meeting update. He wrote in the social media post that meeting and interacting with the representatives was his pleasure.
He shared the event’s glimpses through some images that accompanied the update. He noted that the TVET project has been in progress for several years. Meanwhile, the government developed the Continuity of Learning project during the pandemic to respond to the global COVID-19 crisis.
The Minister of Education, Troy Liburd noted that the representatives hosted the discussions during the meeting successfully. He expressed that he was confident that the future of education in Nevis would be even stronger with the support of these projects.

- Dr Kertney Thompson, CEO of St Kitts and Nevis, TVET Council Secretariat,

- Melba Walters, Project Engineer in the Ministry of Education, St Kitts
- Dorson Ottley, TVET Officer, Nevis,
- Zahnela Claxton, Principal Education Officer
- Kevin Barrett, Permanent Secretary.
Minister Troy Liburd is committed to ensuring the development of the education sector in Nevis. He has been reappointed to the NIA as minister of education for the second consecutive term.
