Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, took to his social media account to thank the Embassy of St Kitts and Nevis in the Republic of China Taiwan for contributing 600 multi-purpose pens to the JNF General Hospital. The Prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew who is also responsible for the Ministry of Health in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, was not present at the handover ceremony.
The Ambassador of St Kitts and Nevis to the Republic of China (Taiwan), Donya Francis, was present at the handover ceremony of the donation of the 600 multi-purpose pens for the JNF General Hospital.
The Ambassador of St Kitts and Nevis to the Republic of China (Taiwan) made the handover of the multi-purpose pens to the Director of Health Institutions, Dr Jenson Morton. Along with the Ambassador and the director of health, several other Joseph N France General Hospital officials were also present. Those in attendance at the handover event include:
- Director of Institutional Nursing Services, Kerry Williams-Tuckett
- Assistant Director of Institutional Nursing Services, Sandra Lestrade-Caines
- Director of Operations at JNF General Hospital, Lindsey Maynard,
- Operations Manager at JNF General Hospital. Gail Cranstoun
As per the update of Dr Terrance Drew The JNF General Hospital can use multi-purpose pens for hygienic purposes. For instance, the hospital authorities can fill them with hand sanitiser or alcohol-based solutions. These solutions are valuable today in helping to curb the spread of infectious respiratory illnesses such as the flu and COVID-19.
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, is also the Minister of Health. He also takes responsibility as the Minister of Health very seriously. He makes it a point to visit the JNF General Hospital several times. The Ministry of Health has also initiated several training and exercises to benefit the medical staff in the various hospitals on the island.
