The Cable Ltd of St Kitts and Nevis public utilities has come on board as the latest Platinum Sponsor for Sugar Mas 51. The handing over ceremony and announcement event for the addition of Cable Ltd as a sponsor took place on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

The public utility organization was hosted in its main office on Cayon Street.

Yarayni Morton represented The Cable. Further, Chairperson of the St Kitts Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC), Shannon Hawley, was also in attendance to receive the cheque.

During the event, Yarayni Morton said that The Cable Ltd has an established relationship with the SKNNCC and is excited to be part of Sugar Mas 51 as the Official Internet provider.

Over the past two years, The Cable flawlessly powered the live streaming of all SKNNCC events.

This gesture of the organization was especially appreciated during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company continues to live its mantra, “more where it matters”, and is proud to support the SKNNCC’s effort to showcase the Carnival Culture of St Kitts Nevis to virtual audiences all over the world.

The chairperson of SKNNCC, Hawley stressed the importance of having The Cable as a strategic partner.

She stated that with the world engulfed by the COVID-19 pandemic over the past two years, the company stepped up to ensure Nationals and friends of Sugar Mas got the opportunity to engage in the last two Carnival Celebrations regardless of their location.

The Cable, which has been operating in St Kitts since the 1980s, provides services including Cable, Internet and Ultra TV. The company continued to encourage loyalty and long-term business with the introduction of the free Platinum Loyalty Card in 2020.

Sugar Mas 51 will be celebrated in the federation of St Kitts and Nevis between Friday, December 2, 2022, and Tuesday, January 3, 2023, under the theme, “CELEBRATE AS ONE FOR SUGAR MAS”
