Steel Pan will be one of the main acts of the day for the St Kitts and Nevis Day 2 Lineup. The St Kitts Steel Orchestra, consisting of the nation’s best steelpan talents is all set to bring the house down on the June 27.

This is the first time that a group of Steel Pan, which is indigenous to the island, will be performing at the SKMF. The St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee has been dedicated to promoting steelpan in the country.
One of the main reasons for this is the annual Panorama Competition, which is organized as a part of Sugar Mas. The St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee has shared that they were responsible for bringing the group together.
The St Kitts Steel Orchestra, which is set to perform on day 2 of the St Kitts Music Festival consists of several homegrown talents. The officials have shared that during the last few years, several artists have taken up steelpan and perfomed in national as well as regional events, representing the federation.
The talent of the Steel pan bands in St Kitts and Nevis has inspired the officials to get the best of the steelpan artists together. On June 27, when the St Kitts Steel Orchestra will take the stage at Warner Park for the Music Festival, they will perform reggae, dancehall, calypso and Soca.
