St Kitts and Nevis will be celebrating 42nd Anniversary of their Independence under the theme “Perpetual Progress: A Sustainable Future in View,” on September 19, 2025. The preparation for the milestone event are in full swing all over the country as stakeholders get ready for the celebrations.
With less than 3 months to go for the beginning of the Independence events, the government of St Kitts and Nevis has already checked off several boxes in preparation. The theme and logo for the 43rd independence day of the federation was finalized in May with Denaula C LaPlace claiming the win.

The theme for this year’s independence day celebration is proof of the government’s commitment to environmental stewardship, economic resilience and social cohesion.
On Tuesday, June 3, the organization sent out the call for nomination of deserving persons for national honors. Every year, the government honors citizens whose dedication, innovation and service have helped the nation grow.
St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister’s office has urged the people of the country to submit their nomination for this year’s awards ceremony. The deserving nationals and citizens will be honored during the 2025 National Heroes Day Celebration on September 16.
The people can collect the physical nomination forms at the Security Desk, Government Headquarters, Church Street, Basseterre. Nominations cam also be submitted digitally via Google forms linked https://forms.gle/3gwpf97x4ZFbL6qPA.
The people who are nominating the individuals for the national honors have to make sure that they submit a completed form. The form should also include a detailed profile highlighting the nominee’s contributions to the development of St Kitts and Nevis.
The call for fringe events which will take place before and after the independence day celebration all over the country has also been sent out. Interested people and businesses can fill out forms and share details regarding the fringe events that they want to organize in Commemoration of the 42nd Independence Anniversary.
