Minister of Creative Economy, Samal Duggins hosted a carnival to host and recognize all the National Carnival’s stakeholders and their contribution to the National Carnival.
Minister Duggins hosted the cocktail event as the minister responsible for the national Carnival on Wednesday, December 14. He also shared the update for the event on his social media
In his update, he shared that it was a pleasure as Minister with responsibility for National Carnival, to host a cocktail in recognition of the contributions made by all Carnival stakeholders.
Further, he I thank the members of Cabinet who were attendance. Their presence underscores the commitment of your federal cabinet to supporting and developing our creatives and our creative economy.
The Ministers of the St Kitts and Nevis Cabinet also attended the event. The St Kitts and nevis National Carnival Committee shared the update from this event, along with some images, providing an insight and glimpse into the event.

St Kitts and Nevis’ most anticipated annual carnival, Sugar Mas is currently ongoing on the twin island federation. The festivities opened on December 2, 2022. The St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Comittee has thus far organized several important events throughout the Sugar Mas 51 festivities.

- pre-eliminary stages of the senior calypso monarch
- masquerade competition

- folklore competition among other things
