Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew recently met with the leadership of K&K Group to secure funding and create a strategic partnership with the organization for the geothermal project.
As a prominent UAE-based investment firm, the organization can turn out to be the invaluable partners for St. Kitts and Nevis. The team’s support to the federation in the groundbreaking geothermal energy project.
The partnership between K&K Group and St. Kitts and Nevis will be a significant step for the government’s commitment to ensure renewable energy security. The use of geothermal energy also furthers the government’s agenda of creating a sustainable island state.
The Prime Minister believed that the partnership was extremely important to allow critical investments within the country. The clean energy project of St. Kitts and Nevis will use naturally occurring geothermal energy to harness electricity.
They want to move away from the traditional methods of energy generation and produce clean and renewable energy. The Project also aligns with the government’s vision of diversifying their energy sources.
Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew believes that the project will be historic and help in reducing the country’s reliance on fossil fuels. The country can successfully lower their carbon footprint and help the country do their part in the climate action.
The project is also expected to create many employment opportunities for the people of the country during the development phase. The Prime Minister was delighted to announce that the project would facilitate economic growth in both the islands.
During the meeting Dr. Terrance Drew informed his fellow members and partners of K&K Group that they want to include the people of the island in every aspect of the development. They want to encourage opportunities for education and training in sustainable energy technologies.
Further, the Chairman of the K&K Group Dr. Tajeddine Seif assured the Prime Minister that his company would continue to support them. They are dedicated to leading the development, installation, and management of the renewable energy infrastructure.
