PM Dr Terrance Drew discusses global issues with King Charles III during London visit

Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew met King Charles III at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, during his bilateral visit to the United Kingdom, on Friday, January 24, 2025 to strengthen diplomatic ties between the two nations.

During the meeting PM Drew and King Charles III discussed various global issues like sustainability, environmental protection, youth advocacy, and education.

He also shared some glimpses of this meeting on his official Facebook page, and said, “His Majesty’s passion for advancing all of the discussed issues is evident. We pledged to continue working together for a better and more sustainable future.”

Moreover, this was the first time a foreign official was received in Sandringham House instead of Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle during the reign of King Charles III as he is also the head of state and monarch of Commonwealth Realm including St Kitts and Nevis.

Strengthening Diplomatic Ties

PM Dr Terrance Drew expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm welcome and his commitment in strengthening the collaboration between the two countries and collaborating on various international issues. 

He further stated that the two nations will work together to promote a better and more sustainable world, long-term economic growth, and social well-being and environmental protection.

PM Drew’s bilateral visit to London

PM Dr Terrance Drew participated in the “Future of Citizenship by Investment” dialogue during his visit to London, at Wilton Park, from January 20 to January 22, 2025.

This meeting brought together leaders from five Caribbean CBI jurisdictions including Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, St Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Grenada, to enhance the integrity and transparency of the CBI Programme.

PM Drew also met the Attorney – General Garth Wilkin and the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Citizenship by Investment Unit, Calvin St Juste during the “Future of Citizenship by Investment” dialogue in London.
